Eliminate Chlorine in your Bath and Shower Water

Monday, September 28th, 2009

New Wave’s Premium Shower Filter and Splish Splash Bathtub Filter are more popular than ever as consumers become increasingly aware of the health risks associated with chlorine in our water supply.   Chlorine is far from the safest way to disinfect our water, yet because it’s cheap, people continue continue to use it.  It has been discovered that you absorb more chlorine from taking one bath or shower than you do drinking water all day.  Hence the need to purchase a Premium Shower Filter and Splish Splash Bathtub Filter.

Below are a few reasons to purchase bath and shower filters:

-Cancer risk among people bathing in chlorinated water is 93%  higher than those bathing in filtered water.

-Chlorine dries out the skin and hair.

-Warm water opens up the pores of the skin, thus allowing more chlorine to enter the body.

Home Water Filtration: Save Money and Go Green!

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Needless to say, switching from bottled water to home water filtration is one of the quickest, easiest ways to save money and improve the environment. Home water filtration is 1/10th the cost of bottled, and is far more convenient because it’s straight from the tap. Additionally, it’s virtually pollution free, unlike plastic water bottles that happen to be filling up landfills at an astonishing rate.

But the message that’s most pertinent to your personal health is that water filters simply provide better quality water. It has been estimated that bottled water companies spend hundreds of millions of dollars a week to give customers the perception that their water comes from some natural, untouched mountain spring. Yet because the FDA only requires that bottled water be as good as tap water, many of these companies don’t actually strive to provide filtered, pure water. Filtering out such chemicals as chlorine and lead from your tap water is the best way to know for sure that you’re consuming pure, healthy water.

BPA also Poisonous in Low Doses

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Many people are unaware of what minimal exposure to chemicals do to their bodies, because modern toxicology usually doesn’t test for what chemicals do at low levels.  However, top researchers from Environmental Health Sciences have affirmed that such endocrine-disrupting chemicals as BPA and Pthalates are, indeed, toxic in low doses.

It has been a popular belief that humans are exposed to various chemicals daily that are only harmful at very high levels.  Yet unlike most chemicals, BPA and Pthalates do not fit this description.  The EPA recently learned of this announcement and has taken initial steps into further examining the detrimental impact of these chemicals in low levels.

We will keep you posted!

Pollution Worsens in America’s Unfiltered Drinking Water

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

The New York Times recently conducted extensive research on the nation’s water pollution records, and concluded that the number of polluters violating the Clean Water Act has steadily risen over the past few years.  A recent test in Charleston, W.Va, revealed the town’s water is contaminated with arsenic, barium, lead, manganese, and other chemicals that are known to cause cancer and damage the kidneys and nervous system.  Additionally, many of the town’s nearby residence have had damage to their teeth and superficial burns as a result of being exposed to the toxic water.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult for individuals to detect traces of chemicals in water, as most of today’s water pollution has no scent or taste.  And with the Clean Water Act having been violated close to 500,000 times, the chance of exposure to American residents is pretty high, especially in major cities.

A Friendly Customer Service Review

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

We recently received an email that applauds our customer service department for its prompt and friendly service.  Please read the fabulous and thoughtful review below.  We always appreciate comments like these!

Hi

I have to say    your company has the best customer service I have ever dealt with.  I am shocked and so impressed.  I emailed you, expecting it to take 2 or 3 days for a return.  So, in the meantime I thought I would call the number listed on your web site.  A very polite and informative gentleman immediately answered the phone.  I was shocked!!  No recording,  no leave a number, a real live talking person.  I hung up the phone from talking to him, after he gave me answers to everything I asked, and immediately got an email from you!!  I am just sitting here, for real, no exaggeration, in complete shock and disbelief!  The best customer service I have received in years!!

Thank You so much for everything.  I am a true customer and will be buying from your company and letting all my yoga friends etc. etc. know about your web site.  I think the stainless steel water bottles would be great in yoga class.

Again, I want you to know I appreciate this so much.  Honestly, like a breath of fresh air.  I sure hope you forward this email to the owner of the Company.  I wish I knew the gentleman’s name I talked to on the phone.  I cannot say enough, but I better stop now.
