U.S. Keeping A Close Eye on BPA

Scientists are aware that Bishpenol A (BPA) is dangerous, yet are unaware how dangerous the chemical really is.  This is why the US Government has decided to launch a broader investigation into the harmful effects of BPA, mainly regarding the health of developing adolescents.  ”We need to know more,” said Deputy FDA Commissioner Josh Sharfstein.

BPA has been used for decades to harden plastics and turns up in many food and beverage containers including some baby bottles and the linings of food containers. Studies by British scientists have linked BPA to heart disease, diabetes and liver-enzyme abnormalities.  People consume BPA when it leaches from plastic into baby formula, water, or food.

Many drinking water bottles are infamous for leaching the chemical as well.  New Wave is highly aware of this, which is why its ECO-nomical personal bottles do not contain any traces of BPA.  So before discovering that BPA may be more dangerous than we think, go with New Wave.
